While I was working on Octonauts, there were three graphics novels in our office from a series called "Hilda", drawn and written by Luke Pearson. The EVP over Octonauts had been working to adapt them into a series and was in the process of creating an animation test. One day on my lunch break, I read the first book out of curiosity. Before I had finished my lunch break, I had read all three. I fell in love with the books, and I knew that I had to work on this lovely show.
I worked as the Line Producer for the Netflix 2D animated series Hilda, based on the books by Luke Pearson. In my role, I drafted writing and production schedules in collaboration with our creative producers and partner studios. During development and production, I was the point of contact for our international partners and studios. I cost reported for the show and assisted with finance planning for series production and fulfillment costs. I also drafted budget estimates and schedules for development and special projects as needed.
